CARIBBEAN STUD POKER
If you enjoy playing poker, then Caribbean Stud can be fun to play especially with the lure of winning a large jackpot. Caribbean Stud Poker is played against the dealer. The object of the game is to get a better five-card poker hand, stronger than the dealer's qualifying hand.
BETS
There are four betting rounds in five-card stud. At the outset of play, two cards are dealt to each player, one open and one closed. Then there is a betting round. After each of the remaining three cards are dealt there is another betting round. By the showdown, five cards will be in each player's hand, one closed and four open. Each player places the bet in the 'Ante' box according to table limit. If the player decides to play the hand, they must place a bet that is equal to double the 'Ante' in the 'Bet' box.
THE DEAL
After the dealer shuffles the cards, he gives them to the player on his right to cut. After they have been cut and restacked, the deal begins. Each player receives five cards face-down, the dealer also deals himself five cards, the last of which is dealt face-up.
PLAY
Players have two choices to make:
. They can play out (call) their hands.
. They can surrender (fold) their hand and lose the 'Ante' bet.
After the call is completed and the dealer's hand is not qualified, the player automatically wins the 'Ante' bet at even money, and the call bet in the 'Bet' box is returned.
To be qualified the dealer's hand must contain at least an 'Ace' and a 'King'. If the dealer's hand is qualified, the players who win receive the pay off according to the pay-out schedule. In case of a tie the hand is a stand-off. Players cannot show their hands to other players.
