Kitty

Kitty, also known as Tri- Flush, is one of the popular table games played in the casinos of Nepal. It is basically a nine card game, which requires both luck and skill. The object of the game is to make sets out of the nine cards and beat the dealer.

Dice is rolled and the number after the roll determines who receives the first set of cards. For example, if a dice numbered two appears, then the player sitting on table number two receives the first set of cards. The rest of the cards are dealt anti clockwise. A player can make a maximum bet of rupees 10,000 and a minimum bet of rupees 100.

Important rules to note are :

 - No bets are allowed after the roll of the dice.

 - Cards once arranged in sets cannot be rearranged.

 - Pit Supervisors have the final say as to how the house hand will be set before the player's hand is exposed.

 - After the house hand is exposed, players cannot touch their cards.

  Ranking and Bonuses

The received cards need to be arranged in sets. To determine the winner, cards are ranked in the following manner :

. two sets of four of a kind
If you win with this hand, the pay off is ten to one.

 . three sets of trios
If you win with this hand, the payoff is five to one.

. One set of four of a kind
If you win with this hand the payoff is one to one.

  Normal rules of flush apply

Player four of a kind wins automatically unless lower than dealer four of a kind. Dealer four of a kind also wins automatically, unless lower than player four of a kind.

And if a player has AKQ and the dealer has none of the bigger cards than the player wins by two to one.
